Scorpio new moon reflection:
‘The divine Will of the universe empowers me with foresight & the ability to evolve.'
We are of the earth.
The waters of Scorpio seep and permeate deeply into all of the crevices, deep into subterranean depths. Changing shape to fit new caverns, accumulated drops nestled in pockets of rocks and dirt all the way down to the pools that hear the whispers of heart of the world we live on.
I'm always curious watching ants before a storm rolls in. Not just one nest, but all nests, a collective action to an invisible but cellular known change.
Or when spiders show up inside your home a few days before the rain. A collective knowing that the earth's weather patterns are shifting and to seek shelter.
I often wonder when there is collective disharmony if we are driven by an invisible undercurrent, being of the earth.
Or if the disharmony itself needs to be shifted by the earth to create space for new perspectives and a different hum in the cells of all living things.
Uranus pulls at the waters of this new moon, a potent one that may reveal the unexpected, that may shift signals, like a radio station changing channels.
We've been in the static, looking for new sounds that reveal something truthful, authentic, that connects.
The unknown is a fertile space, its uncomfortable, deeply uncomfortable. But from within it something new does grow. Something new is revealed. Something new is found.
Channel what is stirring this new moon into moving the body, into being with the earth, into submerging in water.
Into creating safety, into connecting with others.

New Moon Scorpio at 20° 43’
Take the trust leap. When Scorpio is involved, and its effects are felt even more powerfully with Mars in Scorpio forming a conjunction to the New Moon in the same sign, it’s all about trust. Trust – like so many words – is overused but underdefined. Together let us examine the consensus on trust so we know not just what to do, but who to be for the New Moon in Scorpio. My new favorite definition of Trust comes from Rachel Bottsman who names it as “...a confident relationship with the unknown.” I love this definition for both its simplicity and complexity.
When we think of trust, we don’t often think of its twin – the unknown. I find in my own life, and in the conversations I have with clients, family, and friends, we often think about trust as moving from the unknown to the known. Or when there’s “certainty” on the table, that’s how we know we can trust someone or something. According to Bottsman’s definition, we have it upside down. I think that’s a complicated concept because it disproves dominant social messaging. It’s also very simple (but not to be confused with “easy”) in that trust helps us relate, engage, and experience the unknown. The New Moon reflection in Scorpio reminds us that the divine Will of the universe empowers us with foresight and the ability to evolve. When I read this reflection, I was reminded of Scorpio and how we’re crossing the bridge from the known to the unknown with a greater sense of what trust isn’t, and what trust is.
Though no Scorpio transit – or any Astrological sign, or experience – can collapse uncertainty, I do think Scorpio prioritizes the intuitive knowledge we all use when examining the unknown. From dreams, gut hunches, horoscopes, oracle cards, and any and every metaphysical modality in between, these resources help us gain the foresight that helps us have a confident relationship with the unknown. With this in mind, a little doubt and humility is completely normal and even encouraged by Bottsman when it comes to trust. Remember, Bottsman’s definition didn’t say “a certain relationship with the unknown” but “a confident relationship”. So let us normalize the doubt and humility that create a grounded confidence. Without a healthy humility or doubt, it’s not grounded confidence but grandiosity.
This New Moon is opposite Uranus in Taurus and sextiling Neptune in Pisces. With Taurus and Pisces integrated into a Scorpio transit, it speaks to normalizing doubt, leaning on intuitive knowledge, AND experiencing a sense of security to move towards the unknown – because nothing new happens in the known. What we need now is to slowly, and in small ways, trust the new because the changes we seek are there, not here.
Intimacy, Empathy, Sexuality & Transformation
Go deeper, Aries. The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions and serious willingness to take your relationships to deeper places. It’s wildly uncomfortable but also highly pleasurable if you allow yourself to be seen and known as imperfectly but beautifully as you are. If you want to play, you have to pay. So pay with your defensiveness and play with your desires!
Romance, Boundaries, Partnerships & Trust
The Law of Opposites reigns supreme, Taurus! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on romance and how you’re willing to engage in romance by contrast, difference, and the push/pull of opposites. This will strengthen your current stance AND challenge (in a helpful way) the blind spots you may have about trust and defensiveness. Don’t double down, move forward!
Habits, Systems, Wellbeing & Routine
What’s your self-talk saying, Gemini? The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on mental health – especially as you notice the way you talk to yourself about yourself when you're in struggle, setback, and/or anticipatory failure. The words you choose directly correlate to your behavior, so talk to yourself with not just a healthy challenge, but compassion too, for success!
Self-Disclosure, Charisma, Creativity & Lovability
Take the crab shell off, Cancer! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions to share the story of you who are with your whole heart. Your courage! You can be comfortable in your crab shell or courageously brave, but you cannot be both. Choose carefully! This is the time to share more courageously, not self-protect with armor and lock people out of your life.
Vulnerability, Home, Family & Emotional Agility
Home means what exactly, Leo? The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on “home”, not just from home as a place, but home as a feeling, context, experience, and emotion. Choose the places of course AND remember that home could be a gift of accurate self-acceptance. When you accept who you are – as worthy and a work in progress – you can feel at home within yourself.
Curiosity, Observation, Dialogue & Active Listening
Subtext speaks, Virgo! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on how you can develop more fluency in non-verbal communication. You’re so gifted at the language on the lines and this New Moon helps you acquire more fluency in the between the lines. This will make you a master of body language, tones, cues, and all the words that are said without words!
Finances, Security, Clarity of Values & Pleasure
Live into your values, Libra! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on how you can experience “security” in more ways than financial. Firstly, outline what your intentions are for financial safety and then consider how that “value” goes to what you value. And how to practice your values, not just profess them. From there, you have the universe’s most holistic sense of security.
Identity, Desire, Autonomy, & Freedom
Happy Birthday, Scorpio! The annual New Moon in your sign wants your intentions on being first, then doing, to have. So often we begin our intentions with “I want to have X, to do Y, so I could have Z”. Flip it! Ask yourself, “Who do I want to be, to do what I want to do, to have what I deserve?” It’s all about the being, then doing, to have the having ethically!
Completion, Surrender, Healing & Spiritual Support
Let it all go, Sagittarius! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on closure and freedom. You’re typically not a sign that holds onto things too firmly so reinforce your strength of detachment, honesty, and liberation from the limitations of the holding patterns you may find yourself in. From there, the universe will attract all the better things in the space you proactively clear up!
Friendship, Activism, Collaborations & Shared Humanity
Power to your people, Capricorn! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on community, friendship, and social justice efforts that are aligned with the causes you care about. You’re also being asked to step into a leadership role within these spaces and showcase the best of your competence and nurturing capacities to see these causes gain momentum.
Career, Leadership, Integrity & Discipline
What’s your professional truth, Aquarius? The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions for your career. Especially if you’re willing to be even more honest with yourself and others about the changes you want to make, which offer you the sense of freedom and power you’ve been missing. This is the time to share what you want around self-employment, promotion, and growth for your career!
Wisdom, Publishing, Discovery & Higher Education
Implement the information, Pisces! The New Moon in Scorpio wants your intentions on how you can apply the incredibly powerful awareness you’ve acquired over the last six months. More action, less abstract. More enactment! Move from theory to practice and watch the iniverse reward you with amazingly positive changes that take you to the next level of joy and peace.
