I had to call upon my ancestors and guides to help articulate this full moon eclipse in these growing and complicated times.
The series of eclipses, starting with this full moon bring an intensity to the uprise of the multitude of issues we are currently facing. But there is a strong focus on the murder and injustices of our Black brothers and sisters, of white supremacy and white privilege, as there should be.
For those of us not in America these times are highlighting truths in which our own worlds and realities have been built upon, that need serious inquiry.
Eclipses are portals to rapid personal change and growth where we have access to a 'tunnel' to quantum leap into greater alignment. They also intensify what is happening.
"We are pulling up the floorboards to see what rot and treasures lie beneath" (Chris Renstrom). And we are finding a lot of rot in the foundations.
Our nations are mostly built upon war and violence, stolen land, murder of Indigenous peoples and racism. With structures to benefit those in power and those who are white. That is NOTHING to be patriotic and proud of. And it is definitely something that cannot be brought forward into an inclusive, well functioning future world. With many planets in retrograde our work is of deep inquiry and consideration.
But don’t close your eyes to the treasures we are discovering too. The banding together, the solidarity and the love that shines through the haze of toxic smoke. This has to be a revolution. Because if it isn’t - what is? When is?
After the events of 2020 so far, and with this full moon eclipse in Sagittarius, we can now begin to see more clearly where systems, governments and societies fall short, and may continue to fall short throughout the rest of the year. It’s unpredictable. And more shadows will reveal themselves. But this is what is to happen if we want equality, freedom, justice and a sustainable future - together. The rot will be revealed, so it can be healed. And must be healed.
It’s an incredibly potent time to be reflecting on our personal visions of how we want the story to unfold. To start imagining the impossible possible. To really SEE all of what has come to the surface within the world and within ourselves. To learn new ways of being. And then move from a new vision.
Don’t like what you currently see? Please don’t turn away. Now is not the time to look away. This is how we make change. This is how we realise we must live another way. But first it takes WORK, it takes COURAGE and it takes being UNCOMFORTABLE.
Sit in the uncomfortable and the space of not knowing. These spaces are also sacred, as these are the seeds of change to creating a different outcome. And ‘different’ requires us to look around with acute awareness, harnessing our incredible gifts of sight, creativity and vision combined with our heart’s knowledge, seeded by the uncomfortable.
We must each carefully look at our role within the arising issues, because we each have a part to play. Don’t be blind to the hatred, racism and injustices because they make you uncomfortable. Yes, it is challenging to be on social media AND this is not the time to look away from the arising issues. Yes, we must nourish ourselves and our nervous systems AND this is not the time to become complacent again. It’s complicated and paradoxical.
If we want to live in a beautiful world where we are “ONE,” we must face all of the dark, rotten nasty stuff first. A different world or future is not going to arrive on the back of a rainbow coloured unicorn. We have to find it within ourselves and dismantle old conditioning. We CAN live a different way, even if it seems impossible in the chaos of 2020 right now. It IS possible. But first we must do the work with the realisation that we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
And when we get lost, look up. Breathe. Remember we are LIFE on a rock, hurtling through space, and how brilliant that is. Look at the stars that have guided us since the beginning of time, across the face of our planet and into the depths of our beings. And remember what it feels like to be human again. At the core of that is love. The Age of Aquarius is the age of ourselves.
We are not worthless ants in a 9-5 system of turning cogs for profit. We are not lesser than. We are amazing, conscious, human beings with INCREDIBLE potential.
I do not want this momentous time in history to be our downfall and the end of an epoch. I want it to be an uprise, an evolution, a revolution, through all of the hard stuff.
When each of us can recognise the spirit within ourselves, and within each other, we become a network of highly functioning human beings led by our hearts. But first it takes deep, important, sacred work. And courage for change.
What lies ahead is still turbulent territory that I’m not here to sugar coat. We are in the belly of the beast and the only way out is through. There is a lot going on.
With Mars moving into Aries at the end of June, the confronting warrior energy will be highlighted, incredibly for the next 6 months. Mars usually spends around 7 weeks in a sign but will transit Aries, turning retrograde at the end, and then transit it again.
It will take enormous amount of conscious effort not to fall into history's patterns of violence, divide and conquer. To keep level heads and focus on what is LIFE AFFIRMING, and to use our assertive energy and power wisely.
We are to band together to get through this. This full moon, hold the vision of strength that we can rise above the low road, and tread carefully through a transit that will square Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn, the grand agents of change for 2020.
Currently we are in a moment in history, a time that will be referred to hundreds of years from now. Think about that for a second… This moment right now - this year - will be a turning point. WHAT IS YOUR ROLE? What part did you play?

If you are struggling, emotional, angry, invite them all in, but move your body, move through it, and keep moving though it. Breathe deeply. Rest often. Ground into the earth and trust that you are supported by her.
Above all, remember, the universe is benevolent, and whatever comes of this year, HAS to be for a greater good.

This Eclipse is special because it marks the first of many Gemini / Sagittarius eclipse experiences. The North and South nodes, which are the imaginary north and south pole points of the Moon, ingressed into a mutable new axis on May 5th. Looking back on the last cycle offers up some 20/20 insights as to how we navigated the last eclipse waves and what to look out for within ourselves for the coming ones. The major eclipse themes for the last year and half were geared around our relationship within the family, lineage, home life, career changes, domesticity and success. The Cancer / Capricorn axis taught us how to find the authority from within, step up to the responsibilities of life and manage where we belong within our governing systems. Venus as Morning Star has many names, some not so savory and in biblical times she was considered evil. The true story of the Venus planetary cycles throughout our galaxy offer up parallels to the Christian’s Eve story. She ate the fruit of knowledge, summoning the fall of man’s grace from God, the beholder of all life on earth and that is when we were cast out of the Garden of Eden. The Snake, traditional symbol with so many intricately woven stories throughout history is the catalyst to the Old Testament. The beginning of the end. Eating the fruit of knowledge pushed us farther down the earthly planes of existence. Ignorance is bliss – so they say.
Venus, at 12°18’ Rx is just 2 degrees from the Sun in this Eclipse and will make a huge impact on how we move through the Full Moon. She is sitting with the Sun, rising to her highest most defiant placement in the pantheon. Here, she is Kali, divine protector, Mother of the Universe, foot soldier in the attempts of liberation from oppression. The story of Lucifer in the bible is the story of Venus’s orbit through the zodiac. Astrotheology is a fun form of study because it illuminates how influential the sky was in writing the characters and stories in the bible. In ancient Egypt they openly praised the planets and welcomed them into their mythological stories. Just like Lucifer, Venus tempts us with ultimate pleasure, we can become hypnotized by her beauty in the sky and manifest in human beings. However, she is also kind to the prostitutes and harlots, showing mercy for those who have been cast out of society’s grace, or, those who have experienced their “fall from grace”.
Venus as Morning Star participates in a stressful T square with Mars at 15° 52’. Mars in Pisces, the warrior in the water. Rightful action is action taken with love and honor. Rightful action is considering that whatever sacrifices are made, are sacrifices to the betterment of the whole. Pisces is no stranger to the martyring deeds one takes in order to assimilate within the crowd. This lone ranger, swimmer in the deep dreams of the collective reacts thoughtfully, as if in a trance. Swiftly dancing to the aid of anyone in need, this Mars T square is offering a helping hand. Pisces is generous with an open heart; the sign allows us to see ourselves in others and to blur the lines of division. T squares indicate times when we feel a burning need to take action, do something in order to make a right out of something that’s wrong. This mutable T square is very constructive for finishing and releasing cycles, “tiding up” the old projects we’ve left undone or just completely throwing away what doesn’t work.
