Jupiter enters Aries
20th PST 6:33 / 21st AEDT 1:33
Jupiter, the planet of abundance and excess, enters individualistic Aries today. With the holiday season upon us, there is no more fitting time of year for the great benefic to return to terrain authorizing the celebration of self!
Jupiter first ingressed into Aries on May 10 of this year, before re-entering Pisces on October 28/29. The past two months have afforded us a chance to review our spiritual priorities, and embrace greater faith in the cosmos’ grand plan. Our homework has been to surrender to divine timing, rather than actively seeking to attract opportunities or circumvent setbacks.
Now, as Jupiter enters Aries for the final time for the next twelve years, it answers to Mars, which is still retrograde in Gemini! The long and short of it: there is still quite a bit of patience being demanded of us, though we may be becoming increasingly restless. We want to initiate, to take action, yet we are, for all intents and purposes, being instructed to sit quietly in our chairs with our hands in our laps.
What will help to alleviate the edginess of this moment? Remember that attitude is everything! There are many ways to inspire and lead, not all of which involve battle armor and saber rattling. We can lead by holding space, keeping up morale, or demonstrating how to prioritize generosity and over gain. Jupiter in Aries imbues us with the courage necessary to rise into our power as leaders, but gratitude is a huge part of the process.
The downside of Jupiter in Aries lies in its tendency to stimulate burnout. So, in an oddly fortuitous way, its answering to Mars, a planet which is still essentially on pause, mitigates our risk of jumping into any relationships, collaborations, or commitments, that we don’t genuinely want to be a part of! After all, we have learned SOME lessons during Jupiter’s retrograde cycle, as we clocked the fallout of answering an enthusiastic “yes” in situations that should have merited no more than a lukewarm “I’ll think about it”.
